Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (also known as BJJ) is a modification of Japanese Jiu-Jitsu. The Gracie family of Brazil learned and adapted the Japanese techniques to serve a more practical purpose. Engineered to utilize leverage, timing, and strategy to overcome size, strength, and speed...their system was successfully tested in tournaments, challenge matches, and even street fights for many years. The art and the family became very popular following the introduction of the Ultimate Fighting Championship in November of 1993. Now, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the most sought after martial arts in the world. It is also considered by many as one of the most essential skill sets in Mixed Martial Arts.

 

 

Miyama Ryu Jujutsu

Ages 16-adult
A traditional combat style Jujutsu program derived from a Japanese style of martial arts. Miyama-Ryu combines traditional techniques with real life self defense applications . In Miyama-ryu we hit our opponents with the hardest thing in the room, the floor!

Jido Kwon Tae Kwon Do

TaeKwonDo, translated, means the way of the foot and fist. Modern day TaeKwonDo is the evolution of over 2,000 years of rich martial art history in Korea, and is now a recognized Olympic event as well as the most widely practiced martial art in the world.

Our Traditional Approach to this popular style, will teaches our students both discipline as well as practical self-defense techniques. The self-confidence alone derived from traditional martial arts is worth the time and energy expended on the mat.

30 Minutes is all you ll need!

Kick Start your day with this amazing new program at Sochin Martial Arts.
Classes run every 1/2 hour. Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 7:30am-10:30am.
Want to maximize your time on the mat? This is the class for you. These fun and creative exercises designed to isolate specific muscle groups in your body, change daily, so you’ll rarely see the same workout twice.

Free childcare is available for ages 3+ next door at Kid Space.

Bootcamp Fitness

Back by popular demand! Bootcamp fitness is a fast paced exercise program designed for both women and men looking to lose weight, build muscle and gain lost flexibility.
Whatever your level of fitness, bootcamp will increase your cardio, and help you build muscle and burn fat effectively.

$50 a month or $10 a class

 

 


 

Close Quarter Combat Self-Defense

A self-defense program designed for men and women of all fitness levels. Learn how to effectively defend yourself from the most common street attacks. A martial arts background is not required to learn these defenses.
Your size should not be a factor in defending your self. Learn to use balance and proper technique to your advantage.

$55 a month or $15 a class
